Brandished

He who shed red blood in virtue,
Never must he feel dismayed,
Neither flag nor saber brandished,
Ever knew why soldiers laid,

He who shed his tears in battle,
Never must he feel his pain,
Neither flag nor saber brandished,
Ever saw a comrade slain,

He who shed his seeds of freedom,
Never must he feel alone,
Neither flag nor saber brandished,
Ever fought for king and throne,

He who shed his life for country,
Never must he feel betrayed,
Neither flag nor saber brandished,
Ever felt the piercing blade.
